Oct 07, 2019 GarageBand no longer unexpectedly sustains notes when using Musical Typing. Metronome volume and tone can be adjusted in the GarageBand Preferences. The GarageBand LCD again displays times down to milliseconds. Master Echo and Master Reverb bypass settings are now saved in GarageBand projects. After working on a garageband podcast project, garageband unexpectedly shut down, when I tried to open it again it wouldn't allow me and so I restarted my computer several times, each time with the project failing to open. Then I opened it in a new project but a lot of my editing work (which I know I saved) had disappeared. Step 1: First, open Finder, hold the Option key, click on the Go menu and select Library. Step 2: Then navigate to User Library Preferences and delete the file com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.plist. Step 3: Next, navigate to User Library Caches AudioUnitCache and delete any of the following.

As I had an issue with Live unexpectedly crashing when certain VST's were loaded/closed. If so, give this a go: - Open the NVidia Control Panel (right-click on the desktop and it should be an option there), and then go to the 'Manage 3D Settings' section. :/ then can you post the entire text of the crash report, rather than a picture of it - see if someone can get a hint as to what's failing. Pro Tip: Edit your question & paste the text - then select all the report text & hit Ctrl/K which will format it as code. Sep 19, 2005 Lord, I had the exact same problem. I just solved it by deleting a file called, 'tcua.component'. It was located in my user library audio plug-ins components tcua.component. Feb 27, 2019 'GarageBand unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit “AURogerBeep” by “Apple”. This plug-in may require an update.' I tried to update it.
The problem began after I had downloaded the Reason 3.0 demo and the WireTap Pro demo. Maybe thise has something to do with it.
This is the exact same problem I had with Internet Explorer awhile back, which was solved here: http://www.macosx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35573
Mr. K told me to move a file to the desktop (which didn't work at first, until I realized that there was another file to be dragged out there to).
I tried the same thing with Garageband preferences, but it didn't work. I figured that I'm probably making some mistake (like not dragging out another file).
Any solutions?
What files should I be dragging out from the preferences folder?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Why Does Garageband Quit Unexpectedly
It happened when I installed some audio programs that were bundled with my audio interface (Melodyne Essential is one I can remember, but I can't find the disc to check the others). I've uninstalled these, but the only thing I can relate the problem to is the time when I installed these. I'm not exactly sure, but it worked earlier today, then a good while after I installed them, then a good few hours after I tried to open Garageband and it wouldn't work.
What should I try next? Thanks for any help.
