Jul 01, 2016 In this video I'm showing how to import/install patches (.omnisphere file) in Omnisphere 2. En este video estoy mostrando como importar/instalar patches (archuvos.omnisphere) en Omnisphere 2. Installing Third Party Patches in Omnisphere SOLVED I just bought the Cinematic Bundle from Audiority. Their instructions and the instructions on Omnisphere's website say to open the utility menu and select 'Install.omnisphere' however that option is not displayed.
You also need to Patch both Omnisphere.dll files in Program Data. All 4.Dll's need to be patched or Omnisphere will not work! (You also need to do it again when you UPDATE Omnisphere) When done, open your DAW (I used FL Studio) in Admin mode, Load an instance of Omnisphere 2, and it will give you a Challenge Code. These magnet/torrent download links are easy to use if you have a good BitTorrent client. We recommend using uTorrent because it has full support for these links. Just click on the download link (blue icon), and your browser should automatically open up your torrent client and start downloading.

The data files for Omnisphere are stored in your STEAM folder. When you update your patches or soundsources, you are updating files in your STEAM folder, which was created when you originally installed Omnisphere. Your STEAM folder is located inside your Spectrasonics folder. See the instructions below to find your Spectrasonics folder. Inside your Spectrasonics folder you'll find STEAM, which may be the STEAM folder, or it may be an alias (Mac) or Shortcut (Window) to the STEAM folder.
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:
Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
From Mac OS X 10.7 and higher, Apple have made the User - Library folder a hidden folder by default. This is to stop general Mac users fiddling with settings, however, music makers will require using this folder from time to time. Bpm analyzer for mac.
Please see the handy article below on how to unhide your User Library folder in Mac OS X 10.7 or higher
Link to shortcut URLs are ok as long as they go to the short cut URL and then directly to the torrent URL.
On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:
C:ProgramDataSpectrasonics

Storing sound files on a secondary drive
If you are wanting to store your Omnisphere audio files on a second hard drive, you can put the Spectrasonics/STEAM folder onto your second drive. You will then need to create an alias or 'short cut' to this location on your main Mac or Windows drive. You can create an alias (Mac) or a short cut (Windows) by right-clicking (ctrl+click for Mac users) the STEAM folder and selecting it from the menu.
Once you have done this, you will then need to either locate or create the following folder on your main drive:
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be located here:
C:ProgramDataSpectrasonics
On Windows XP, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
C:Documents And SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSpectrasonics
You will then need to move the STEAM alias folder (or the STEAM short cut folder) into the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive.
Note: On Mac, once you have placed the 'STEAM alias' folder on your main drive, you will need to rename it removing the word alias from the file, otherwise it will not work. You should now have a 'STEAM' folder on your main drive that is pointing to its actual location on your second drive.
Now when you close and re-launch your host application, Omnisphere should be pulling the audio files from off of the second hard drive.
Please note: This video was created on a Mac (OS X 10.8.5) designed to mainly assist Mac OS X 10.7 (and higher) users with locating their 'hidden' Users - Library folder. The video and guide then goes through where to place the additional patches so they are detected in Omnisphere.
Windows PC users can still follow this video to see where to place your additional patches. However you will just need to ensure you have located your Spectrasonics folder and then follow the guide / video from here or please view below.

With the Go 'drop-down' menu up on the screen hold down your 'alt' key on your keyboard to 'unhide' the Library folder.
Select the Library folder and double-click the 'Application Support' folder.
Where to place the Patches:
Now locate your 'Spectrasonics' folder and go to 'STEAM', 'Omnisphere', 'Settings Library'.
Here you will find a 'Patches' and a 'Multis' folder.
Double-click the 'Patches' folder.
From your desktop, double-click your downloaded folder to open it into a second window.
Place the two windows next to each other so you can see both windows - your 'Patches' folder and your new content folder.
Within the 'Patches' folder, create a new folder and name it after the developer of the library (ILIO, Audiority or The Unfinished). Now double-click this new folder to open it.
Now simply highlight the new patches folders from the second window and drag&drop them into your new folder.
Please note - the Audiority bundle (Trapshere library) also includes bonus Wav files. These are just for your use, Omnisphere does not need them. You can place them with your usual sound library files if you wish.
Please note - The Unfinished libraries contain 'Patches' presets and 'Multis' presets. Please ensure you place the PATCHES into this Patches folder and then go back to the 'Omnisphere' 'Settings Library' window to locate your 'Multis' folder. Then just create a new folder in here called 'The Unfinished' and drag&drop the additional MULTIS into this folder. This stage is not covered in the video.
Now the files are in the correct location. Open Omnisphere in your DAW / music host.
When the Omnisphere interface loads, please press the 'CHECK FOR UPDATES' button (top-left) and ensure all green lights are showing and that you have installed all of the needed updates. Without the latest update, some presets may not work correctly!
